Day 119: Royal Wedding

 All of this royal wedding hype is so excited.  Kate's dress was classy, elegant and just stunning on her.  She truly looked like a Disney princess.  All this talk of weddings made me think about how much I loved my own wedding dress.  So, I dug it out, dusted it off and shot some pics of my own dress.  Secretly, I wanted to put it on again... but I don't think I'd fit into it. :)

Day 118: Mafia

Today was our friend Tom's birthday.  We had a BBQ and we played a really fun game mafia.  It is a mystery game.  If you haven't played this game, it is a must-play with a group of friends.  

Day 117: It Takes Two

Today I went for a jog and saw the most amazing bird in the little pond behind our apartment.  But, since I was running, I didn't have a camera.  I ran back to the apartment and by the time I came back, the bird was gone.  But these two guys were there.  I'm kind of bummed.  Oh well... maybe he'll come back for a visit.

Day 109: Gale Winds

This spring weather is crazy.  It is beautiful and green here, but this weather cannot make up its mind.  One minute it is bright and sunny, another minute the winds are blowing light crazy, lightning, hail, tornadoes and rain thrash around. Just another day in the midwest.

The photo isn't great because it was so dark and the wind was blowing so fast.  I didn't want to go outside and risk blowing away.

Day 108: Drip Drop

Assignment: Illustrate motion in a photograph today.

I tried and tried and tried to take a picture of these water droplets.  After about 100 pictures, this was as close as I could get to it turning out.  Oh well.  Maybe next time.

Day 107: Mario Kart

Assignment: Make a low-key photograph today.

This may be the nerdiest post I have posted, but it doesn't even matter because we had so much fun.  Last night and tonight, we had the pleasure of playing Mario Kart with Jonny's siblings (who are in different states).  I would have never thought I would have been playing video games online... but we sure did.  It was free fun!  We just had them on the speakerphone and just had a blast "virtually" hanging out! Nerdy... but FUN FUN FUN!

Day 105: Tornado Warning

Today we had the first tornado warning of the season... my first tornado warning ever.  I took this picture about 5 minutes after INTENSE hail, rain and wind.  Now, it is just eerily calm.  This weather is crazy.  But, the good news is... is that everything is SO green.

Day 104: The View

Day 103: The Book Fair

I had to work the book fair today and had NO time to take a photo.  I didn't even have time to think about anything but work.

Anyway, this was the book that all the little kiddos (mostly girls) wanted to take home today.

Day 102: Run to the Lake

After eating a large icecream and a hamburger for lunch, I knew I needed to go for a massive run to make up for it if I had any hope of eating dinner.  So, I decided to run to the lake.  I went for a whopping 4.5-mile run today (more than I have run in abut 9 months). Wahoo! Go me.

Day 101: Fresh Blooms

Assignment: Make a photograph that features a subject made of wood today.

This counts, right?  These pretty flowers are blooming in our apartment complex right now.  It seems like the world turned green, yellow, blue and purple over night.

Day 98: On a Golden Afternoon

The flowers outside the temple were beautiful.  I wish I had my DSLR to take pictures but the ol' point and shoot will have to do for today.

Day 97: Spring has Sprung...

...And so have my allergies.  Ugh!

But, I am loving all of these flowers. 

Day 96: It's Gonna Be a Bright, Bright...

The sun is shiny, right?  I mean, it's kind of shining in this pic. 

Day 95: At the Water's Edge

Went for a run today and this was how pretty the "lake" looked today. 

Day 94: Bird's Nest View

Assignment: Make a photograph from an unusual point of view. 

Well, spring is here... kind of.  I saw this bird's nest in a tree and decided it was a perfect object for a photo. 

Day 93: Gone With the Wind

Jonny can't stand when I take pictures of just him... but this wind was so crazy.  You could literally lean forward into the wind and it would hold you up.  Jonny is demonstrating.  

The wind also knocked down all these rain gutters from our building.  

Day 92: Baby Shower for Ashley

See that little dot of a person in front... that's Ashley opening her gifts.

Caryn and Meckenzie

 So today I went to a baby shower for my friend Ashley.  Biggest baby shower in the history of mankind.  I think I counted nearly 60 people there and that was after people had already left.  And I didn't even count the kids there.  Oh my goodness.  Ashley is set for life with all the goodies she got today.  She looked so cute.  Too bad I did not bring my SLR.  Oh well!

Day 91: Magnetic Attraction

After Pasta Night, Tom, Caryn and Jonny had a blast with these magnets.  And I remembered that the theme was attraction.  So, not the most interesting photo... it gets the point across.  I was tired...
